Radon Testing

What you CAN’T see might hurt you.  New efficiency standards require tightly built and insulated buildings that can trap contaminants.

Yes, Radon is a real risk and even low levels of exposure to radon has been shown by studies like The Iowa Radon Lung Cancer Study to correlate with an increased risk of lung cancer.

Elevated levels of radon have been found to be present in Metro Atlanta locations. This  map provided by the Environmental Protection Agency shows where higher concentrations have been found, but being in one of the less toxic zones does not preclude the need for testing for a particular building.  Testing is the only way to determine whether radon is present in a particular building.
